Join visual artist and actor Heather Agyepong and opera singer and artist Peter Brathwaite as they discuss their work recreating historical depictions of the black figure using photography, chaired by art historian, author and founder of @ABlackHistoryOfArt, Alayo Akinkugbe. Within their bodies of work, they centre black lives and tell stories of those overlooked or erased from history, both having recreated works housed within the NPG Collection such as Ira Aldridge and Sarah Forbes Bonetta.
